Special Notices about the 4th of July Celebration
Saturday, July 4th, should be a great day in Brown Deer! Plan now to join in the fun at the 1:30 p.m. parade, the picnic and games and entertainment following the parade in Village Park, and an outstanding fireworks show to culminate the days events at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, has been set as the rain date for the fireworks show if they are cancelled on July 4.
For the safety of all participants and guests, please make note of the following:
No persons may possess, carry in, or consume alcoholic beverages not purchased on the premises at the Village Park. This is in accordance with Wisconsin Statute 125.32 (6)(a). Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the park.
Parking is available for senior citizens and disabled individuals in the Metavante Parking Lot across the street from the park. Permits are required and may be obtained at the Village Hall beginning the week of June 22.
Patrons attending the parade and bringing their pets are asked to control their animals. Village Ordinance 6-1.03 requires pets to be under the immediate control of the owner and on a leash.
Patrons and participants are advised not to use water guns or soakers at the parade staging area or parade route for the safety of all.
Chapter VIII, Volume 1 of the Brown Deer Village Code prohibits dogs and bicycles in the Village Park. The code also prohibits the use of portable grills, skateboards, frisbees, jarts or other athletic equipment that can be tossed or thrown in the Village Park that day.
It is the desire of the 4th of July Committee that everyone has a great time celebrating the holiday while ensuring the safety of everyone present. Your help in making this a great holiday is appreciated.
