First 2009 "Concert in the Park" at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Set for June 27
The first 2009 "Concert in the Park" at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 7:00 p.m.
The featured group is "The Keith Lienert Steel Drum Band" from Madison, Wisconsin. This is a professional band that features the steel drum, playing all of your favorite calypso, reggae, jazz, and pop hits. The music retains a festive "carnival" sound. Keith Lienert is on the steel drum and Todd Hammes is on the marimba. St. Paul's traditional ICE CREAM SOCIAL, served in Reichmann Hall, will follow the one-hour program.
Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a relaxing evening of good musical entertainment with neighbors and friends. All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. outside in the Memorial Garden on the north side of the church. Bring a lawn chair. There is plenty of parking available on the south parking lot. In the event of rain, we will use the downstairs Fellowship Hall.
The second "Concert in the Park" is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2009, 7:00 p.m.
The church is located at 8080 North 47th Street.
