Galloway Sherard shows dedication needed for board

March 20, 2013

Public Forum:

The students of Brown Deer deserve only the best when it comes to teachers, administrators and School Board members. Adults who are involved in our students' academic lives need to be sharply focused on what will contribute most to their academic success. Leslie Galloway Sherard is running for School Board and is definitely that individual who will put time and effort into what is best for our students and our school district. For more than 10 years she has been actively involved with the PTO, the Athletic Booster Club, working on School Board committees as a community member as well as serving on the School Board.

As a proud parent of academically successful Brown Deer High School graduates, Leslie understands what our students need to take along with them to be able to have continued success at the university level. She knows what will be expected of our students as they continue their post-high school education and how they need to be prepared to succeed as they move into their adult lives.

Leslie sees the big picture and works hard to take ideas and move them into action through the work of the School Board. Because she knows firsthand the importance of parental involvement, she will continue to support strategies that will fully engage all parents in their children's education. Leslie can make the difficult decisions that are needed to balance the needs of our children with the financial realities of today.

Brown Deer will be well served by a School Board that includes the experience of Leslie Galloway Sherard. Please make it a priority to vote on Tuesday, April 2.
