BAYSIDE

1A 32-year-old Green Bay woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant after she and her passengers were found sleeping in a running car in the 8800 block of North Port Washington Road at 7:25 a.m. March 11. The apartment manager called police saying this is ongoing problem, people pulling into the private lot to rest. The woman, who said they were on their way to Green Bay, posted her bond and was released.

BROWN DEER

2A boy, age and residence not released, was arrested Feb. 25 for possession of a dangerous weapon a BB gun/facsimile of a firearm at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 22. The boy was caught on surveillance video bringing the gun, which had the red tip removed making it look like a real firearm, into the school during a basketball game. Later he told police he threw the gun away, but his mother said he'd given it to a cousin. In a related incident, also caught on video during the game, another boy was arrested for theft of a digital media player valued at more than $300 taken from a girl's backpack and two more boys for party to the crime of theft.

3A man, age and residence not released, was arrested March 1 for theft at Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road, the afternoon of Feb. 22. The man, an employee, was caught on surveillance video opening another employee's locker and taking $100 from a purse. He admitted the theft saying he was sorry and would return the money.

4A smartphone valued at $500 was taken from a locker in the women's locker room at YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, between 11 and 11:45 a.m. Feb. 27. There was no sign of forced entry.

5A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 67 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 4900 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1:30 a.m. March 5. The man had 40 $100 bills and when asked why he had so much money, said he worked for a management company where he did maintenance work but then said he had collected rent money which ranged from $350 and up. He was then asked why he didn't have any $50 bills but did not respond. There was an odor of marijuana in the car and canine officer Vader was called to the scene and "hit on the cash." The man, who has a lengthy criminal history including numerous narcotic violations, had a blood alcohol content of 0.18.

6A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of 1.4 grams of marijuana and a warrant after a report of him attempting to steal a car in the 8300 block of North 46th Street at 2 a.m. March 6. The man, who was stopped as he walked away, had two marijuana blunts in his pocket which he said he forgot were there.

7Two adult sisters, ages and residences not released, were being investigated for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related outside Dean Elementary School, 8355 N. 55th St., at 3:45 p.m. March 8. The women said they had a falling out last year and both had sent threatening text messages to the other.

8A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for theft and trespassing at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:20 p.m. March 9. The woman entered a fitting room with clothing and then checked out paying for a pair of jeans but not for $54 worth of T-shirts she had stuffed into her clothing. She told police when she comes to the store, she always pays for some items while always stealing other items. She was banned from all Kohl's stores after being arrested for theft at the Point Loomis store Feb. 28.

FOX POINT

9A boy, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of 21.4 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia including two pipes, a bong and a scale after he was stopped for speeding in the 6800 block of North Yates Road at 5:30 p.m. March 8. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and when asked about it, the boy said his sister used the vehicle most of the time and she did smoke marijuana. Later he admitted he also smoked the drug and had purchased the marijuana for $210 a few days before.

10A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of marijuana after the car he was in was stopped at a closed business in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:25 a.m. March 12. A trace amount of the drug was found in the door handle where he was sitting. A pipe with residue and a grinder were found on the ground next to the car but the male and other occupants denied ownership.

11A resident reported that a planter and a car parked in the driveway were hit by a motor vehicle causing more than $2,000 damage in the 400 block of West Bergen Drive at 2:40 p.m. March 11. The driver of that car, a woman, age and residence not released, was cited for driving a motor vehicle without the owners consent.

12A 21-year-old Brown Deer man, a student, was arrested for possession of marijuana after an employee reported the odor of burning marijuana coming from a dorm room in Claire Hall at Cardinal Stritch University, 6801 N. Yates Road, at 4 a.m. March 14. A trace amount of marijuana and a 3-inch blunt were found in the room.

GLENDALE

13A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct, loitering, resisting/obstruction and a felony robbery warrant after taking money from a friend in the 5600 block of North Bayshore Drive at 12:45 p.m. March 7. That friend, a man dressed like a woman, told police the man had asked to hold his purse and then took money from it. Before police arrived, the suspect, who later said he returned the money to the victim, fled running west on West Silver Spring Drive. When stopped he admitted he had a warrant but couldn't remember what it was for.

14A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at $210 was taken from the Sunglass Hut, 490 W. Northshore Drive, at 6:22 p.m. March 7. The suspect, a male about 20, 5'11" tall and thin, fled the store.

An 86-year-old Glendale man reported being the victim of a fraud saying he'd received a call from his grandson who was in Mexico at a wedding and now in jail because of a car accident and needed $1,484 to get out of jail at 1:30 p.m. March 7. The victim sent the money via a Money Gram to his grandson's attorney, Gary Hurtley, in Mexico City. He called police after finding the call was a scam.

15A 61-year-old woman, residence not available, was arrested for drunken driving, driving with a suspended license, with two prior convictions, and unsafe lane deviation after veering into on coming traffic and driving off the road in the 6800 block of North Port Washington Road at 6 p.m. March 8. The woman who told police she couldn't hear very well asked them to get her "Pocket Talker" from her purse. They found the "talker" in her purse along with an almost empty bottle of vodka. Her BAC was 0.21.

16Five sweaters valued at $300 were taken from The Gap, 410 W. Northshore Drive, about 11:50 a.m. March 9. Two females were seen taking sensors off the sweaters and then fleeing the store getting into a green Buick LeSabre driven by a male. The females are known as repeat shoplifters.

17A man reported that after giving a ride to a woman he didn't know he discovered she had taken 81 methadone pills and 141 oxycodone pills as they drove from the 1700 block of West Silver Spring Drive to Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Port Washington Road, about 1 p.m. March 11. He said he needed a police report to have the prescriptions refilled.

18A 50-inch flat screen TV and a laptop, valued at more than $3,600 and 80 oxycodone pills, 40 Vicodin and 20 amoxicillin, value not listed, were taken from an apartment in the 2100 block of West Good Hope Road sometime March 10 to March 12. There was no sign of forced entry.

RIVER HILLS

19Five boys and three girls, ages 15 to 17, of Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale and River Hills were cited for underage drinking after an anonymous report in the 1200 block of West Manor Lane at 10:20 p.m. March 15. When police arrived, the garage door was open and some juveniles ran off but were stopped. Their preliminary BACs ranged from 0.01 to 0.129. The owner of the home, a relative of one of the boys, said she didn't know anyone was drinking.

SHOREWOOD

20A hit and run causing minor damage was reported in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue overnight March 7 or 8.

21A 19-year-old Waukesha woman was cited for underage drinking after the car she was in was stopped for unauthorized registration in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 4:35 a.m. March 8. Her BAC was 0.13. The driver, 18, residence not listed, was warned for unauthorized registration.

A resident reported the fraudulent use of her credit card after someone used it to charge $160 at a Western Union March 4. Other attempts were made to use it but were unsuccessful after it was canceled.

22A 22-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for theft after using a self-check out lane at Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 3:25 p.m. March 9. The man did pay for milk, chips and soda but not a bottle of $20 Kalula. When stopped, he denied taking anything saying it was "police brutality."

23A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting/obstruction and loitering he was seen sitting in a resident's car in the 1900 block of East Kensington Boulevard at 3:20 p.m. March 10. The resident approached the man, who told him "I thought this was my car" and pointed down the street saying that was his car. He then walked away and when stopped by police denied being in the car saying a friend, name he didn't know, had dropped him off to visit a friend and again not knowing that friend's name.

24Two thefts of money totaling $190 were reported from the same boy's gym locker at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, over the noon hour March 8 and again March 11.

WHITEFISH BAY

A resident reported an attempted fraud after receiving a phone call at 12:45 p.m. March 13. The resident was told he won $2.5 million and a Mercedes but first needed to send money to get the prizes. No money was sent.

A resident, selling her time-share condo, reported an attempted fraud at 10 a.m. March 14. She received a call offering more than the asking price of the time-share but first she had to send money for any outstanding liens. No money was sent.

25A smartphone valued at $200 was taken from a chair in the gym at the Jewish Community Center, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., between 9 and 10 a.m. March 14.

26A 44-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for drunken driving and other traffic citations after hitting two trees, a fire hydrant and a light pole and then ran from the car in the 4700 block of North Lake Drive at 2 a.m. March 15. A witness saw the accident and called police who found the man in the area. He was taken to a hospital for his injuries and for a blood draw.

27A 60-year-old Whitefish Bay man was mailed a citation after a report of him "acting inappropriately" at Bruegger's Bagels, 601 E. Silver Spring Drive, at 10:15 a.m. March 15. The man was also informed by police "he was not to use the restroom" at the restaurant.

28A laptop computer valued at $600 was taken from a car while the owner was at Starbuck's, 302 E. Silver Spring Drive, between 4:50 and 5:30 p.m. March 15. A window was broken to gain entry.

29A 27-year-old Canton, Miss., man was arrested for drunken driving and other traffic violations in the 200 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 3:16 a.m. March 16. His BAC was 0.11.

30A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and other traffic citations in the 4700 block of North Wilson Drive at 4:06 a.m. March 17. Her BAC was 0.11.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to 135 calls, 110 emergency medical and 25 fire/rescue, March 11 to March 17.
