1An in-dash CD player and GPS unit, a pair of athletic shoes and cell phone with a total value of $700 were taken from a locked car at Stratford Village, 8200 N. Teutonia Ave., on Aug. 15 or 16. Damage was $200. Two other cars were also entered but nothing appeared taken.
2A 17-year-old Glendale boy, reported as a runaway, was arrested for possession of 0.8 grams of marijuana and cited for curfew violation in the 4400 block of West Calumet Road at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 18. He was in a car with an 18-year-old Milwaukee man who was cited for driving while suspended. The boy said he forgot the drugs were in his pocket.
3Windows on three cars were broken at Old Country Buffet, 6538 W. Brown Deer Road, between noon and 1:45 p.m. Aug. 18. Only one victim called police to report the damage of $250. The two other drivers left before police arrived.
4A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, open intoxicants and theft of a 12-pack of beer from Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road, at 9 p.m. Aug. 19. The man walked out of the store with the beer and drove away. He was stopped a few blocks away with open cans of beer in the car. He admitted drinking and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.15.
5A 57-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, driving left of center and no proof of insurance in the 7800 block of North 51st Street at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 20. His BAC was 0.09.
6A 56-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for drunken driving causing injury and failure to yield the right of way in the 3900 block of West Brown Deer Road at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 20. The woman, who made a turn into on-coming traffic, was injured as was the other driver and both were taken to a hospital. The suspect, who admitted having three gin and tonics at a bar while waiting to pick up her fish fry, was to have a blood draw.
7A GPS unit, prescription glasses, cash and a gift card with a total value of more than $400 were taken from a car in the 5900 block of West Brown Deer Road on Aug. 22 or 23.
8A 21-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, inattentive driving and refusal to take a breath test after he drove over a curb in the 5000 block of West Willow Road at 3 a.m. Aug. 26. When asked if he'd been drinking he said, "Not that much." The man, who wore white flip-flops, failed field sobriety tests including the nine-step heel to toe. He kept walking after nine steps and would have walked right into the parked squad car if an officer did not stop him.

9A 22-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to wear his seat belt, driving while suspended and refusal to take a breath test after he was found slumped over his steering wheel, drooling, in the 8000 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:45 a.m. Aug. 22. When asked, the man said he stopped because he was texting and did admit having "a few" drinks.
10A 20-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving and given a warning for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 8300 block of North Port Washington Road at 1 a.m. Aug. 27. His BAC was 0.10.

11A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft from The Gap, 401 W. Northshore Drive, at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 13. He walked out of the store carrying a purse and when stopped told police he didn't have to open his purse, because he hadn't set off the alarm. The purse was lined with aluminum foil to block the security system. The man had items worth $95, some in his purse, and a few T-shirts in his pockets.
12A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for disorderly conduct after fighting in a room at La Quinta Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 18. The woman, her baby and her boyfriend were in the room when the woman's mother and the girl arrived. The fight started when the woman said the girl took a hair product. The woman swung a lamp at the girl telling police she also might have bitten her. The girl, who had bite marks on her cheek, threw an alarm clock and lamp at the woman. The night clerk said they had received noise complaints.
13A 15-year-old Glendale boy was arrested for theft and trespassing after entering a garage and taking a bicycle in the 5800 block of North Sunny Point Road about 1:30 p.m. Aug 19. The boy, who was identified through his photo in the Glen Hills Middle School year book, was found in the 5200 block of North Mohawk Avenue. He denied taking the bike, and his parents said they had no bikes. However, two were found in their garage space. One was the stolen bike and the other was claimed by the boy's 17-year-old brother who said he found it abandoned a few blocks away.
14A 30-year-old Glendale man was the victim of a strong-armed robbery as he pumped gas at Speedway, 6170 N. Green Bay Ave., at 10 p.m. Aug. 20. The robbers grabbed his wallet from his pocket and then took a $100 car battery charger from his car. Surveillance video shows the men using one of the victim's credit cards to buy gas at that station.
15A Dewalt saw valued at $900 was taken from a construction site at Buffalo Wings III, 598 W. Northshore Drive, on Aug. 20 or 21.
16A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of 0.5 grams of marijuana after a report of a man and woman fighting in the 6800 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 12 a.m. Aug. 21. The woman reportedly threatened the man with a knife, which was found in her car.
17A woman reported the theft of jewelry valued at more than $1,000 in the 6100 block of North Green Bay Avenue sometime 2 to 9 a.m. Aug. 22. The woman met a man at a party and he came home with her. When she awakened, the man and her jewelry were gone.
18A 29-year-old Glendale man was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test after speeding 55 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 1600 block of West Silver Spring Drive and stopped in the 5900 block of North Ames Terrace at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 22. He admitted having a "couple of beers" and failed field sobriety tests.
19A 16-year-old Glendale boy was arrested for underage drinking after his father called police when the boy came home drunk and angry because he didn't get any money for his birthday in the 7800 block of North Port Washington Road at 1 a.m. Aug. 23. The boy just got out of rehabilitation for substance abuse. His BAC was 0.04.
20A 47-year-old Milwaukee woman was the victim of a strong-armed robbery as she left work at Columbia Hospital, 4425 N. Port Washington Road, at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 24. She got into her car and when approached by a teenage boy who asked for directions, she rolled down her window and he grabbed her purse. He fled in a four-door maroon Acura with a temporary plate. In the purse was a digital music player, PDA, cell phone, cash and credit cards valued at more than $300.
21A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft and a warrant after taking items valued at $95 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25. The woman has been arrested more than 23 times including for felony forgery, disorderly conduct, theft and issuing worthless checks. She was wanted on a probation violation for forgery but denied she was on probation and said she hadn't seen her parole officer for a long time.

22A leaf blower valued at $400 and two hanging flower baskets valued at $50 were taken from the Bradley Sculpture Garden, 2146 N. Brown Deer Road, at 8:23 p.m. Aug. 21 and reported Aug. 23. Surveillance video shows a white male driving away in a pickup truck with the baskets hanging from the back of the truck.
23Three solar lamps valued at $1,500 were taken from the 8200 block of North Range Line Road on Aug. 24.
• There were burglaries in the 4000 block of North Richland Court and the 4400 block of North Newhall Street on Aug. 26 or 27. At both homes, cash was taken: $100 from one home and an undisclosed amount taken from a wallet left on a kitchen counter in the other. Screens were cut to gain entry. A screen was also found cut but entry not gained in the 4500 block of North Larkin Street sometime Aug. 24 or 25.
24The rear window of a car was shattered in the 1700 block of East Menlo Boulevard on Aug. 25 or 26. Damage was $800.
25An 18-year-old woman and five girls and two boys, 16 and 17, all of Shorewood, were cited for underage drinking in the 4400 block of North Bartlett Avenue at 2 a.m. Aug. 27. One of the teens brought the alcohol into the home.
26A laptop computer, brief case and calculator with a total value of $560 were taken from the 4200 block of North Newhall Street on Aug. 27. One of the residents had some friends over and when they left the items were gone.
27Cheese whiz was used to write a derogatory word and the year "2011" in the 4400 block of North Stowell Avenue on Aug. 29. Silly string was also found on the property along with toilet paper.
28A 49-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, after he bumped another car on Capitol Drive at Oakland Avenue at 6:40 a.m. Aug. 29. He was taken for a blood draw.
29A purse with $100 cash was taken when left unattended for just a few moments in a cart at Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., about 2 p.m. Aug. 29. The purse was found in a trash can two blocks away but the cash was missing.
30An 11-year-old Whitefish Bay girl reported that a man in a four-door car with dark windows asked if she wanted a ride in the 100 block of East Monrovia Avenue about 3 p.m. Aug. 24.
• Burglaries were reported in the 4900 block of North Idlewild Avenue on Aug. 24 or 25 and in the 2000 block of East Glendale Avenue on Aug. 26 or 27. First floor screens were cut to gain entry. Taken from one residence was $5 cash and a laptop computer and two cell phones, value not listed. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the other.
31Patio furniture - a couch and two chairs, value not listed - was taken from the 5700 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue from Aug. 25 to 27.
• Three garages were entered and items taken in the 5800 and 6300 blocks of North Bay Ridge Avenue and the 6200 block of N. Berkeley Boulevard on Aug. 27 or 28. Taken were two lawn mowers valued at $200 and tools valued at $175.
32A 38-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 4800 block of North Larkin Streets at 3:35 a.m. Aug. 28. Her BAC was 0.08.
33A car's window was shattered but entry not gained in the 6100 block of North Kent Avenue early morning Aug. 28. Damage was $400.
34A GPS unit valued at $380 was taken from a car in the 100 block of West Belle Avenue between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug 28.
35A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, in the 5100 block of North Kimbark Place at 11:55 p.m. Aug. 28. His BAC was 0.23. He was taken for a blood draw.
36Two 16-year-old Whitefish Bay boys were arrested for underage drinking at Big Bay Park, 5100 N. Lake Drive, at 1 a.m. Aug. 29.
37A 1975 Porsche 911 convertible was broken into and a CD stereo valued at $300 taken in the 5900 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue on Aug. 29. Damage was $1,000.
