2011 Summer Reading Program Kick-Off!

We will be outside with sidewalk chalk art, a bake sale, and all the materials you will need to sign up for one of our fabulous summer reading programs!

Join us tonight at 6:00 PM for our next Theatrical Thursday! We will be watching Gnomeo and Juliet.
Also, Topper's Pizza in Fox Point has generously donated FREE pizza for you to eat during the movie! Be sure to get here before the film starts to get your pizza - it is on a first come, first serve basis.

We had a record number of people attend last night's Theatrical Thursday showing of Gnomeo and Juliet!
A staggerng 92 people attended the film, and enjoyed delicious pizza, which was generously donated by Topper's Pizza.
Terrific Tuesday Performer Tonight - Nature in the Parks!
Join us tonight for our first Terrific Tuesday performer of the summer! Tonight, we welcome Nature in the Parks with their program "One Butterfly, Three Countries".
Follow the journey of the monarch butterfly! There will be an interactive telling of Sam Swope's book "Gotta Go! Gotta Go!", a story about the lifecycle and migration of the Monarch Butterfly.

Our summer storytime sessions are now full to capacity, and registration is closed.
Registration for our fall storytime sessions will begin in mid-August.
Tomorrow - Supernatural Summer Solstice!
June 21st is the Summer Solstice, the fist day of summer and the longest day of the year.
This day is also known as St. John's Day, Midsummer (as in Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream) or the Wiccan Litha. For hundreds of years, civilizations have celebrated with bonfires and dancing.

"Folk Tales from Around the World" is a dynamic performance of fun folk tales from a variety of cultures and countries. Rick brings to life characters and animals to enrich and entertain the audience. Enjoy folk tales, myths, legends, and fables from places such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Kenya, China, and Africa or myths of Native American peoples.

Tie Dye Event Tomorrow!
Join us tomorrow, Tuesday June 28th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM for our Tie Dye Event!
We will have nearly everything you'll need - we'll supply the dye, buckets, gloves, and rubber bands. You'll just need to bring the t-shirt, pillowcase, or any other white fabric that you want to tie-dye. Weather permitting, we will be tie-dying outside.
