Friends of the Library Used Book Sale - Begins Today!
Save the dates for this year's Used Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
This year's sale will feature a preview night on Thursday, August 26 from 5-7 PM (Free to Friends members, $5 admission for non-members). The 2 day sale will be held Friday, August 27 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturday, August 28 9 AM to 2 PM in the Community Room.
Used book donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the library beginning the week of August 16.
All proceeds from the sale go towards enhancing Library services.
Terrific Tuesdays - Jump Giggle Mime and Wiggle!
Join us tonight, Tuesday July 27th at 7:00 PM for our next Terrific Tuesday performer!
Nancy Weiss-McQuide will be here tonight, with her program "Jump, Giggle, Mime, and Wiggle".
"Jump, Giggle, Mime, and Wiggle" is a lively series of stories for children ages 4-10. Acting, mime, juggling, and dancing are utilized to enact stories that portray friendship, equality, and pure fun.

Tonight's Movie - Muppet Tresure Island
Join us tonight, Thursday July 22nd, at 6:00 PM for our next Theatrical Thursday! We will be watching "Muppet Treasure Island". The movie is rated G, and runs 99 minutes long.
We are also proud to announce that our new projector has arrived! It was purchased with money donated by the Brown Deer Junior Woman's Club. The image and sound quality are outstanding, and we are very excited to host the first movie night with this wonderful projector.

Special Repeat Showing of "Tooth Fairy" Next Week!
We are pleased to announce that we will be reshowing the film "Tooth Fairy", which was shown earlier this month as part of our Theatrical Thursday movie nights.
We will be reshowing "Tooth Fairy" on Wednesday July 28th at 12:30 PM.
It's rated PG for mild language, some rude homor and sports action, and runs 101 minutes long.

Our summer "Theatrical Thursdays" movie nights begin tonight, with "The Princess and the Frog".
The movie will begin at 6:00 PM in the community room.

Tomorrow - Manga Workshop with Nick Katzfey!
Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, June 23rd at 6pm for a Manga Workshop with Nick Katzfey!
Come join us and learn how to draw Manga characters! Nick will teach you how to draw people and poses as well as hairstyles and facial expressions. Be sure to bring along your imagination and maybe your sketchbook, too!

2010 Bench Installation
Two wooden benches were donated to the Brown Deer Library by the Friends, and were installed in mid June. They provide a comfortable sitting area for library patrons and accent our beautiful landscaping, which was also provided by the Friends.

Summer Storytime Registration Now Closed
Registration for both the Monday storytime and Wednesday storytime have now closed. Both summer storytime sessions have exceeded capacity, and we cannot register any more children.
We look forward to a fun summer storytime session, and hope to have more slots available in the fall!

The puppets always have something to share about their latest kooky adventures. Come and join the fun!

Summer Reading Programs at the Brown Deer Library!
Join us this summer at the Brown Deer Library, and participate in one of our great summer reading programs!
We have a program for all ages - we have a children's program for those under age 12; a teen's program for those aged 13-17; and an adult program for those aged 18 and up.

Wednesday Story Time Now Full!
Our Wednesday story time is now full, and we cannot accept any more registrations. Monday story time still have available spaces, and anyone wanting to sign up for Monday story time can still sign up at the reference desk, or by emailing the children's librarian at Dana.Andersen@mcfls.org.
