Obama is qualified, neocon bigotry will surface
The Big Lies that are concocted by the neocons have turned the USA into a pariah nation. We have lost all of our respect worldwide. Our economy is in a shambles. The war in Iraq will only turn into a splintered and bloody civil war when we leave. The "surge" is a mockery. Joe Biden is right, it will disintegrate into at least three divisional "nations." And the total lack of morals and ethics in this administration offends even the staunchest fundamentalist Christian. Bush and his henchman, Dick Cheney, have run the principles of this nation into the ground. Corporate behemoths have been given free rein and immense profit advantages. Lies are the modus operandi of Bush-Cheney. Amazing effort will have to be made by the next president to right the ship.
Barack Obama is qualified to do just that. He is intelligent, and has worked with real people in the guts of life to straighten things out. Perhaps no presidential candidate in history has been so involved in the guts of poor and common peoples' problems. His intellect is obvious. His educational background is clear. He has impressed even the more conservative politicos of his abilities. Unlike the Bush-Cheney-McCain onslaught, integrity is a hallmark of Barack Obama's life. Republicans no longer even recognize integrity when they see it.
Nevertheless the right-wing will use every bigoted tactic to de-rail Obama's campaign. They lied and convinced enough Americans that John Kerry was not a Vietnam war hero to defeat him. And now we are expected to ONLY laud John McCain's Vietnam War experience as a prisoner of war. Something is amiss in this scenario. What does McCain's Vietnam experience [an illegal war, by the way] have to do with his mimicking George W. Bush's illegal and military-industrial sell-out and pitch it to voters? Look at McCain's record of supporting Bush policies in voting over 95% in his favor. Look at how out-of-touch McCain is with the average American [who only owns zero or none houses]. Look at how McCain promises to give oil corporations additional tax breaks. Give ME a break!
However the worst to come will be the unrelenting bigoted attacks on Obama, the African-American. And McCain and the Republicans will act dumb about it all. Right now they are planning the most hideous campaign based on bigotry, but it will be stealth and as free of official line as possible. Watch for it. The racists will be coming out of the woodwork!
A group of right-wing bigots with Nazi-like identification were caught in Denver planning to shoot Obama. Thankfully they were caught. There will be more right-wing nuts trying to do this killing ...using guns! But there will be other onslaughts couched in more "proper" terminology, but being, in truth, smarmy bigotry.
