My choice: TOM BARRETT

It is a huge up-hill fight, but to have Tom Barrett as our new Governor requires you to vote.  In order for the "good guys" to win will require a huge turn-out at the polls.  This is no time to sit back and watch the process taken over by right-wing extremists from outside Wisconsin.  It is time to vote!

The reasons to choose to kick Scott Walker out of the Govenor's Mansion are so many that my little blog does not have the space to do justice to it.  But here are some reasons to fight the lies and deceptions purchased from outside Wisconsin...

Scores of millions of dollars have been taken away from the schools and education generally by the Walker cabal.

While in the midst of an economic crisis, Scott Walker saw fit ot give huge corporations tremendous tax and other favors.

Walker and his gang tried to ram through a camouflaged bill that would have turned our precious and beautiful environment over to polluting and contaminating mining interests from outside Wisconsin.   One state legislator of Walker's own party had a conscience and stopped the devious turn-over.

Walker loves to quote the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel when it is to his advantage, but ignores it when questions are raised in that daily about his part in the many felonies and other charges concerning Walker's service as Milwaukee County Executive.  Much of the John Doe investigation surrounds things that were happening by Walker's staff and inside and just outside his office.  After the election it is too late to finally realize how Walker hid information from the public about the plague of illegality attached to him.

Depending on which study one chooses, under Walker the State of Wisconsin was either dead last in the entire nation in creating jobs under his administration or just last among all other Midwestern states.

Without a hint or mention about it in his campaign to get elected Governor, Walker never mentioned his intention to take away collective bargaining rights from most state employees.

Walker has placed into jeopardy Wisconsin's enviroment on many occasions, and moved around or appointed new non-ecological persons to key environment posts.  To quote Kerry Schumannn, the executive director of the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters: "Walker has pretty much the worst environmental record in Wisconsin history."

If Wisconsin is going to have a 21st Century economy, high-speed rail will have to be a part of it.  Yet Governor Walker chose to reject $810 million of federal funds to get the State moving in that direction...money designated for Wisconsin that then went to a very appreciative California.

Because of Walker killing a chance at rail power that would have provided 4,700 construction jobs and 9,000 other jobs, three very creative wind energy corporations left Wisconsin and took $600 million in investments and 1,100 jobs.  Walker will not respond to questions in this regard.  It is ugly and self-destroying for the State that Walker is/was supposed to lead.

Now compare Wisconsin's wind energy of 5 megawatts to the wind energy produced in our neighboring states: 614 megawatts in Illinois, 470 megawatts in Iowa, 348 megawatts in Michigan.

For me, the most damaging have been Walker's comments to the right-wing and outside-the-state greed-mongers who want to use Wisconsin as a demonstration that greed and public destruction can work to the advantage of the extreme right-wing philosophies.  This is a national election, financed for Walker from some of the most greedy people and corporations around America.  What happens in our state will effect things for years to come, and set the agenda for how the economy will function and further the disappearence of the Middle Class.  It is very obvious to all but the most short-sighted, the improvement in the economy is determined by wages that are adequate so workers may purchase the goods, services, and materials produced by capitalism.  Taking away the traditional benefits of our Middle Class is a guaranteed recipe for economic disaster.  Greed, however, only looks for special benefits in the short term.

VOTE FOR TOM BARRETT FOR GOVERNOR!   Save our State.
