RECALL WALKER? NEEDS VOTERS!
Almost daily there are new reasons evolving that Wisconsin Govenor Walker should be recalled and kicked out of office. We have had a year of mounting evidence that he has done plenty to be recalled.
However through all the demonstrations, all the yelling and shouting, all the marching, all the demonstrations of his incompetence and illegality, it is just hoopla if people do not do what is the only thing that will oust him: you gotta vote!
Recent recall movements to get rid of Republican legislators in Wisconsin were marginally successful because people did not go to the polls. The greed and selfishness that characterizes so much of what motivates Walker's supporters, though in a minority, succeed because these kinds of people protect their stash by voting en masse.
Liberal and progressive voters are not motivated by the same protective greed. Part of what accumulates in estates comes through protective greed. And lots of people who work very hard for little pay are tired at the end of the day and are not motivated to use their fprecious free time to protect their tiny estate. Couple that with poor people who vote progressive but have no transporation to get to the voting booth, and you have a prescription of "success" by right-wing groups. The motivating slogan for conservatives: "I've got mine, too bad about you."
Scott Walker will not be recalled unless there is a record turn-out. The higher the voter turn-out, the better chance there will be to kick him out of the Governor's Mansion.
Walker will have his ducks lined up. Amazing amounts of out-of-state money will pour into the Walker campaign, directly or indirectly. Power groups with self-interest will rally behind Walker. The NRA stands ready to pour tons of money into Wisconsin on Walker's behalf. It has already been established via the staged phone call from the Koch brothers to Walker, that the Koch treasury will be at his disposal. He has already shown that he will sell his soul for the Koch brothers. Big corporations, looking for contract hand-outs and salary cuts, will fill the airwaves. Whatever can be bought and sold, including the State of Wisconsin, will be displayed and advertised. Buyers for Walker are lining up.
You have the ultimate decision concerning the recall in your hands. Get out and vote! See to it that your friends and neighbors get out to vote! Democracy only works if the people speak. And we are losing our democracy because it is being sold to the hightest right-wing bidder.
