AND NOW FOR SOMETHING...

Just when you think you have seen everything goofy that there is to see, people come along to go beyond.  My last blog posting was about as innocuous as can be, about as close to motherhood and apple pie as blogs get.  Strangely, some people took offense.  Is there any sanity left in the U.S.?  Now here are some things that should really get some people further around the bend...

TV weather forecasters are getting worse, but their excuses seem to be getting better.

Who would have thought that the Bible-toting, chest-pounders would give serious consideration to the presidential candidacy of one of the most immoral men in politics, Newt Gingrich?

Wow, the old double-standard was very much in evidence when their erupted a loud criticism of a movie star openly announcing her pregnancy when not married, but remaining quiet about Palin's daughter.

Please remember if a shouting, ranting radio or TV host is considered extremely popular with an audience of a couple million, that over 300,000,000 Americans are NOT listening or viewing them.

It seems that the more polls indicate a slumping approval of Scott Walker, the more he indicates a willingness to compromise.  For a loyal puppet of the Koch brothers, lessening ideology is venboten.

The ongoing hurdles that health care reform has to jump over, it is obvious that going for a one-payer, universal system would have been no harder to install.  That is truly a tragedy.  Obama is weak.

Mitt Romney's greatest problem at getting the GOP nomination is his successful installation of an Obamacare-type health care system in Massachusetts when he was governor.  I kinda like the guy.

All the right-wingers who screwed up Iraq and Afghanistan sure have lots of advice for President Obama when it comes to what he should do in Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Bahrain, etc.:  Bush mistakes.

Whatever happened to Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, and the rest of the loonies from the Bush administration?  Are they writing books telling us how wonderful they are and were?

I note that Britain and France say we should institute a no-fly zone over Libya.  How brave of them!  Of course the actual institution of the dangerous part ot a no-fly zone would fall to the United States.

Whatever happened to the Tea Party's support of Palin for President?

I'm surprised that more hasn't been made of the Scott Walker-"Koch" telephone call.  Walker admitted some illegal stuff.  He said it would be a wonderful gift of Koch to fly him on vacation in California.

Whatever happened to the GOP, holy, darling Pat Robertson?  What a tramp that guy is.

Are they fracking in your neighborhood yet?
